Purposeful Pain

Pain does not have to be pointless when it is placed in God’s hands. Romans 8:18 reminds us that present suffering cannot compare to the glory God will reveal. What feels like disruption may be the very place where God begins producing healing, growth, endurance, and purpose.

Get Out of the Jar

Sometimes our emotions keep us trapped inside our own perspective. When ego takes over, correction feels like condemnation and conversations become confrontations. James 1:19–20 reminds us to be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Before reacting, we must step back, check our hearts, and choose wisdom over pride.

Know How to Be Wise

Knowledge alone does not make us wise. Wisdom is revealed when we apply what God has taught us and allow His truth to shape how we live.

Validated by God

When your confidence is built on people’s approval, one negative opinion can shake your identity. But God has already declared who you are. Stop chasing validation from the world and stand firm in who Christ called you to be.

Don’t Worry. God Provides

Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? Matthew 6:26-27 What are you worried about?Continue reading “Don’t Worry. God Provides”

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 The Bible is not just one book. It is a library of 66 books written overContinue reading “Bigger Than A Book”

God Already Knows

The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. Proverbs 15:3 A bad decision. An inappropriate thought.A relapse—or the temptation to experiment again. These are the moments we don’t want God to see. We feel shame over our thoughts and guilt over our actions. And instead of bringingContinue reading “God Already Knows”

Joy That Never Fades

For “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.” 1 Peter 1:24-25 The wrapping paper is ripped. The boxes are open. The toys are played with, and the anticipation is gone. Christmas joy has a predictableContinue reading “Joy That Never Fades”

Don’ Follow Your Heart

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? Jeremiah 17:9 Feelings are powerful. Emotions influence how we think, speak, and act—often more than we realize. Our hearts play a central role in this, but Scripture gives us a sobering warning: the heart is not a reliable guide. What feelsContinue reading “Don’ Follow Your Heart”
