Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
Matthew 22:36-37
Christmas is a joyful season. We gather with family and friends, share meals, exchange gifts, and enjoy meaningful moments of fellowship. It is a time marked by love, laughter, and connection. Yet, during this season, our schedules become crowded and distractions multiply.
Our hearts can be full—but not always centered.
Jesus calls us to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind. During the holiday season, that devotion can quietly slip to the margins. Festivities increase while intentional time with Christ decreases. Without realizing it, we can celebrate around Jesus rather than because of Him.
Without Christ, there is no Christmas. There would be no reason to gather, no songs of joy to sing, and no hope worth celebrating. December 25th would be just another day on the calendar.
This Christmas Eve, let this be a reminder:
Make room in your heart for Jesus.
Among the food, the family, and the festivities, pause and remember the greatest gift ever given. Christ humbled Himself, entered our broken world, and made room for us. The least we can do is make room for Him in return.
Daily Challenge
Make intentional room for Jesus today.
Before the celebrations begin, set aside time to pray, read Scripture, or worship—without distractions. Let your heart be anchored in Christ before it is filled with anything else.
Daily Prayer
Heavenly Father, Christmas is filled with joy, but it is also filled with distractions. This year, help me remain focused on the true reason for the season—Your Son. Guard my heart from drifting, and guide it back to a posture of worship and gratitude. Thank You for the sacrifice You made and the gift You gave. Help me not only celebrate family and friends, but to celebrate the greatest gift I have ever received—You. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
God Bless! 🙏🏿✌🏿💙💪🏿
