Today is the day me and Pretty Girl celebrate our first year of marriage!!!! Time goes by so fast if you blink you will miss five years easily. This last year has been intense. There were so many up’s and down’s. I honestly didn’t think I was going to see my birthday this year. Thankfully I am blessed with an amazing wife, woman and life partner. Without Pretty Girl I would have died YEARS ago. Also, more recently, Pretty Girl kept me responsive until EMS arrived the last time I overdosed. Had she not been there I would have without a doubt stopped breathing before the paramedics arrived. My wife loves me without limit or condition. Sometimes I have to remind Pretty Girl how important and incredible she is. Our unit would fall apart without The Prettiest Girl. Thankful does not express how I feel about the love of my life. Pretty Girl loved me when I didn’t love myself. Believed in me when EVERYONE else didn’t. Pretty Girl has been by my side through EVERYTHING!!!! I COULD NOT SURVIVE WITHOUT HER!!!! Last night we were talking about how different my birthday was this year. Just like most people, I spent the majority of my born days trying to get wastey pants. This year was the first year that wasn’t even on my radar in a LOOONNGGGGG TIIIIMMMEEEEE. It felt so great to spend time with the love of my life sober and content with where we are in life and where our journey is taking us. Things are so much better now than they were a year ago and they will continue to get better as long as we work toward making them better every day. I wouldn’t want to live this life with anyone else. Pretty Girl is my PERSON and we make perfect LITTLE PEOPLE. With my wife I have the best of everything. It’s not always roses and rainbows but I will take our family life over one that is organized to the hour. My family is my everything. I love being a husband and father so much and I cannot wait to see where my journey in recovery not only takes me, but my entire SQQQWWWWAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Physically I can be in a place that may not have all the amenities and still be as comfortable as a King in a castle. My family life brings me so much happiness that no matter where we are, if we are together, all is well!!!!
